Back to Net Talk Live!

I was reminded of this tonight and proud of the many hats I wore during the production of these shows. The highlight for me was while at channel 33 in Dallas, where I was switching, calling the commercial breaks and directing the show - all live. 4 cameras, tape roll ins and computer sourcing. Very fun! 

Nettalklive and Net Talk Interactive were two shows I directed live and live to tape - later edited and broadcast managed - all starting in 1995.  Some accomplishments of our shows:

First, Net Talk Live!:

- First show to include a URL in a national broadcast

- First show that combined TV, radio and the Internet into one program - called ourselves the World's First Triplecast!

- At various points, we aired on ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, UPN, PBS, Comedy Central, E! Entertainment Television, Sci Fi Channel, Comedy Central, USA Network, WB Network and broadcast internationally to over 100 countries - even transcribed into Chinese! At one point I was editing and versioning off four separate "versions" a week.

- Over 200 coast to coast radio affiliates

- Over 266 original episodes

- One show attracted over 44,000 people to downtown Dallas' West End for a live 2 hour broadcast

Next, Net Talk Interactive:

- Produced in high definition and earned a Telly and Platinum Worldfest award for Childrens and Family programming
